Selective Plane Illumination Microscope (SPIM) or Light Sheet Fluorescence Microscope (LSFM)
The CSF Advanced Microscopy Facility provides access, training and technical support for researchers to an expanding inventory of cutting edge optical imaging techniques.
Methoden & Expertise zur Forschungsinfrastruktur
-Inverted geometry (light sheet incident from side, imaging from below)
-Optimized for long term plant root growth studies: Day-night lighting cycles, media can be perfused through the sample bath, temperature control
-Also suitable for cleared tissue imaging
-4 laser lines (405nm, 491nm, 514nm, 561nm)
-fast imaging (up to 100 f/s)
-Long working distance objective (8mm), long range piezo and xyz motor stage.
-occular for easy sample finding / locating regions of interest in epi-fluorescence mode
-Custom easy to use software
-stitching of images and convolution as needed also offered as service
