The VBCF Advanced Microscopy Facility provides access, training and technical support for researchers to an expanding inventory of cutting edge optical imaging techniques.

Methods & Expertise for Research Infrastructure

-Upright geometry (light sheet incident from side, imaging from above)
-Dual light sheet (incident from two opposite sides) for even illumination
-Suited for large (mm-scale) samples
-Suited for optically cleared fixed samples
-2 laser lines (488nm, 660nm)
-"Easy-to-use" commercial software with stitching functionaliy
-Variable zoom imaging objective
