Kurzbeschreibung
Automated system for the estimation of greenhouse and trace gases exchange rates between the soil and the atmosphere. The system encompasses twelve transparent chambers (diameter 52 cm) and a multiplexer controlling the opening/closing and the sampling of the chambers. A detailed description of the technical characteristics of the chambers can be found in the following link: https://eosense.com/products/soil-gas-flux-chamber/
The automated chamber system is connected to a multi-species gas analyzer (ID 5838):

Methoden & Expertise zur Forschungsinfrastruktur
The automated chamber system is connected to a multi-species gas analyzer, which allows to estimate the exchange rates of greenhouse gases between the soil and the atmosphere in the field with an hourly temporal resolution. The equipment is currently been used in a long-term field experiment where soil drying-rewetting cycles are being simulated, aiming at assessing ecosystem responses to global change.
