This machine combination is part of the “F&E Infrastrukturförderung” of the FFG. It is used for process development for production processes of bionanoparticles.
The Nanoparticle Tracking analysis NS300 (Malvern Panalytics) serves for analysis of size and concentration of particles in solutions by combining both the Brownian motion and light scattering. Each single particle is detected individually, resulting in a size distribution of hydrodynamic diameters of the complete sample.
Moreover, the Nanosight Sample Assistant (Malvern Panalytics) allows to measure samples automatically. A 96 deep-well plate can be used for running 96 measurements without personal support.

Research Services

This device is not part of a service facility but is open for scientific collaboration.
acib offers extensive and reliable partnerships with national and international research projects as well as the implementation of contract research.

Methoden & Expertise zur Forschungsinfrastruktur

The Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis setup allows to detect particles between 10 to 1000 nm in solution. The Nanosight NS300 is equipped with a blue laser module (wavelength of 488 nm).
Both the Nanoparticle Tracking analysis NS300 and Nanosight Sample Assistant were extensively used for samples containing Virus-like particles (VLPs) with sizes between 100 to 200 nm.
