Methods & Expertise for Research Infrastructure
The confocal platform STELLARIS provides the largest possible flexibility regarding excitation and detection as well as a range of additional imaging modalities. It features a pulse supercontinuum white light laser (200 separate lines between 485nm and 685 nm) and an acousto-optitcal beam splitter. In combination with the spectral hybrid detectors, it is possible to do live time based imaging in order to:
- reduce autofluorescence
- separate close fluorescence spectra
- get functional information on protein-protein interaction and
- conduct FLIM/FRET experiments
Digital superresolution can be achieved with the included lightning module and large specimens can be imaged using the navigator/stiching module.
We offer training, tech support and experimental advice.
Allocation to research infrastructure
- compulsory lab safety induction
- setting up of a user and project account on the booking platform
- induction and training at the microscope
- payment of hourly service charges
