Servers and services as basis for online architectures for geo-data and information processing, with licensed software installations from FOSS as well as Esri-ArcGIS, Erdas and Oracle.
Sensors and analytics for physical processes (meteorological, hydrological and radiometric elements) as well as for 'social and collective sensing', i.e. position-related sensors for the measurement of physiological characteristics as well as methods for the extraction of data from online services (social media)
Development platforms for Object-Based Image Analysis ('OBIA') focusing on Trimble eCognition and semantic Big Earth data analyses. Carrier platforms such as UAV, positioning (GNSS), interaction (workstations) and output devices are available as support. Cloud-based infrastructure for Geospatial AI and Geo-Knowledge Graphs as well as the application of GeoAI algorithms.
In the IDEAS: lab as an interactive laboratory, elements of the Core Facility are made available for explorative learning at all levels, geoinformatic experiments and the general public.
