The ProTech facility will either provide training and help with the experiment design so that you can book the instrument yourself, or we can carry out the whole experiment for you.

Microscale Thermophoresis is a new method to cost efficiently measure molecular interaction, especially on biomolecules.

General protein - ligand interaction (protein - protein, protein - DNA/RNA, protein - small molecule/ion)

The NT.LabelFree uses tryptophan autofluorescence, therefore one of the binding partners needs to have at least one tryptohane, while the second binding partner must not show autofluorescence at simmilar wavelength (340nm).

Since it is a label free technique one is able to start straight with the measurements and will work on an unmodified system.

Affinities as well as binding energies and stochiometry of the molecular interaction can be determined.
