Short Description
Complete high-end rheometer system including associated temperature chambers, various measuring tools, microscope system for optical analysis, software, computer, second motor.
Main features:
- Twindrive: use of two air-bearing measuring drives. This enables the counterrotation, this allows the rheological data of both drives to be read out, as well as the use of an SMT (Separate Motor Transducer) mode.
- TruGap function: Permanent measurement and control of the actual measuring gap via magnetic induction
- MCR Version Space: Rheometer with free-standing support for temperature chambers and to create space for the flexible adaptation of various test setups such as inverted microscopes and confocal microscopes.
- Modular temperature control for optical applications from -20°C to +200°C with Peltier temperature control from above and below the shear gap.

We can offer rheological and rheo-optical analysis on a variety of samples, both for academia and industry. If you are interested in characterising your samples, get in touch and we will find the more suitable way to do it.
Methods & Expertise for Research Infrastructure
The MCR 702e Space MultiDrive with the additional lower motor allows rheological experiments to be carried out with two torque transducers and drive units at the same time - this opens up a wide range of possibilities for rheological research.
In addition, the MCR 702e Space MultiDrive offers maximum working space, making it easier to work with accessories and additional measuring devices, such as light microscopes to visualize the processes inside the sample during measurement. It is a unique tool for understanding the microscopic processes that determine the rheological properties of materials.
