Short Description
This devices includes an in-situ holder for a JEOL JEM-F200 transmission electron microscope (TEM) (cold-FEG, HR pole piece). The holder enables the exploration of (photo)electrochemical processes in an electrolyte or other liquids in the TEM.
For this purpose, three electrodes are provided as part of the electron-transparent holder tip (including the corresponding electrical connections) and an inlet and an outlet to pump the electrolyte into the holder. A potentiostat, which allows the control of the electrodes in the TEM holder and the measurement and recording of their signals in combination with appropriate software, is part of the package and is equipped with an appropriate computer.
Common electrochemical methods, such as cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry or potentiostatic measurements, are part of the potentiostat performance spectrum.
Furthermore, a leak test device, an optical microscope and the necessary tools for changing the holder tips are part of the package. The working electrode can also be irradiated with (visible) light in the TEM.
