Short Description
Fibres are one of the most important reinforcing materials for polymers. Combining fibres with a thermoplastic polymer matrix significantly increases the mechanical properties of the polymer material. Due to their relatively low weight, fibre-reinforced polymers are often used in the construction of lightweight components, typically found in the automotive, aerospace or aviation industries. This research facility can produce endless glass-, carbon fibre- or natural fibre-reinforced tapes made of PP or PC-based matrix with a maximum width of 300mm.
