Short Description
The VS200 is a semi-automatic Fluorescence Scanner capable of scanning tissue sections mounted on slides of different sizes ranging from 1x3 inch (standard slide) to 4x5 inch. It can operate in brightfield and fluorescence mode allowing imaging of histologically stained whole tissue sections (some cm²) in few minutes. The scanner is equipped with multi-channel and single channel filters that allow the detection of 7 different fluorescent dyes (range DAPI to Cy7) in one sample. In addition, the system has a 40x oil objective and an automated oil dispenser.

Methods & Expertise for Research Infrastructure
The expertise covers histological, immunohistological and molecular biological pre-analytical techniques including sectioning of tissues (cryo, FFPE), hoistological (Hematoxylin-Eosin) and immunohistological (immunofluorescence) staining and labeling as well as in situ padlock/sequencing techniques. Special expertise covers the application of multi-fluorescence image analysis.
