Short Description
The Somatological Collection is part of the collections of the Anthropological Department of the Natural History Museum in Vienna. It contains records of field research, research protocols, documents, pictures and manuscripts of research and collection activities carried out by former staff members of the Department of Anthropology, as well as of memers of universities and other institutions. The inventory currently encompass 2,600 numbers, including extensive documentation on research activities from the Nazi period.
