Short Description
The Photothek is a historic and contemporary digitally maintained image archive of the Department of Anthropology. It encompasses about the entire photographic production of the department since its foundation. The total size of the collection is close to 50,000 inventory numbers. In fact, however, the photothek includes a much larger number of photographs, such as black-and-white and color negatives, 35mm slides, medium-format, historical black-and-white prints, X-ray negatives and in the laste decades also extensive digital image material.
