Short Description
The photoemission spectrometer consists of an analysis chamber, preparation chamber and sample manipulators. A hemispherical analyzer (MBS A1) and a UV lamp are installed in the analysis chamber. Angle-resolved photoemission measurements can be performed with this instrument in ultra-high vacuum. The preparation chamber allows the synthesis of samples, which can then be transferred to the analysis chamber in ultra-high vacuum. Standard instruments for surface preparation are available in the preparation chamber (Ar+ sputtering, evaporator, heater...) and samples can be characterized by electron diffraction.
