Short Description
Fixed samples provide only a brief snapshot of cellular processes. By observing living cells or organisms, one can gain insights into the dynamics and interaction of proteins, organelles and cells. The AxioObserver (Zeiss) is suitable for transmitted light brightfield, phase contrast, DIC, PlasDIC and incident light fluorescence and is equipped with a temperature control device and motorized object table. The microscope can be used for fluorescence-based analysis of fixed and living cells in the field of cell biology and cancer research.

Methods & Expertise for Research Infrastructure
The device is used in various molecular biology disciplines such as molecular tumor biology and molecular immunology research. With the help of fluorescence-based labeling methods, the device enables the analysis of fixed as well as living cells, a central technology and prerequisite for the development of highly cited publications of CF tumor biology. Equipment: Transmitted light bright field, phase contrast, DIC, PlasDIC and incident light fluorescence with a temperature control device and motorized object table
