Short Description
The systems used in this Core Facility study physiological parameters that are influenced by training. It is both about preventive aspects of endurance training as well as performance enhancing in popular and elite sports. Essential devices used for this research are: HP - Cosmos treadmill for ergometries (also suitable for wheelchair users); Cosmed spirometry for the analysis of respiratory gases; k4b2 for mobile respiratory gas analysis; Bicycle ergometer for ergometry; Monark Peak Bike for anaerobic performance diagnostics, heart rate monitor Suunto; 12 channel ECG, skin fold measuring system (Caliper) and bioimpedance meter for body composition determination; Biosen for the determination of lactate and glucose, Reflotron for the determination of creatine kinase, urea and other parameters that can be obtained by means of dry chemistry.
