Short Description
The Cytek Aurora CS is a state-of-the-art cell sorting system that leverages Full Spectrum Profiling™ (FSP) technology, offering unprecedented capabilities in high-dimensional cell analysis. With its five lasers and 64 fluorescence detectors, the system enables researchers to achieve comprehensive cellular insights, making it a powerful tool for a wide range of applications in immunology, oncology, and cell biology.
One of the standout features of the Aurora CS is its ability to sort up to six distinct subpopulations simultaneously in bulk, significantly improving workflow efficiency. The system also supports high-throughput sorting, allowing researchers to distribute cells into 96- or 384-well plates, with the added benefit of index sorting for single-cell analysis. These features make the Aurora CS an excellent choice for experiments requiring precise cell isolation and downstream processing.
The system is designed to handle a wide range of cell sizes, thanks to its dual-nozzle configuration. Researchers can select between a 70-micrometer nozzle for smaller cells or a 100-micrometer nozzle for larger ones, accommodating cell diameters ranging from 6 to 20 micrometers. This flexibility ensures optimal viability and recovery of sorted cells.
Additionally, the temperature control option enhances cell viability by maintaining optimal conditions during sorting, which is particularly beneficial for fragile or sensitive cell populations.
By combining high-resolution spectral detection, advanced sorting capabilities, and flexible configurations, the Cytek Aurora CS provides an unmatched level of precision and versatility for modern cell analysis and sorting applications. Its cutting-edge technology makes it a game-changer in the field, empowering researchers with more data, better resolution, and greater experimental reproducibility.

Methods & Expertise for Research Infrastructure
Flow cytometry is a powerful technology that employs fluorescence labelling of marker genes or cell-specific antigens for the identification of cells with particular phenotypes. This method also facilitates the sorting of cells based on defined fluorescence parameters at a rapid rate of thousands of events per second, supporting diverse downstream applications in fields such as immunology, developmental biology, chromosomal biology, and various other branches of biology.
