- Experimental planning and design of behavioral test batteries
- Access to a wide range of state-of-the-art behavioral+metabolic testing equipment and paradigms
- Consultation service including training, instruction and assistance
- Protocol development for mouse behavioral models
- Data analysis, interpretation, and reporting

Methods & Expertise for Research Infrastructure

The intellicage system by TSE-Systems allows for automated screening of a variety of general behavior and cognitive function parameters (including operant conditioning), while mice are housed in their home cage environment in social groups with up to 16 animals moving freely and performing their natural behvavior during the day-and night cycle. Handling by the experimenter is reduced to a minimum and allows for stress-free and unbiased data. The effects of genetic modifications and/or pharmacological treatments on mice can be evaluated to answer basic biological questions e.g. in mouse models of human diseases, and the system is also suitable for toxicology studies and drug screening.
