Research Services

The collection holdings can be searched via the Special Collections website. Manuscripts, cradle prints, early prints and graphics are recorded in special indexes, the Latin manuscripts of the Middle Ages are described in a separate catalogue, the catalogue records of which are based on the guidelines of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. The index of prints also has numerous digital copies. Originals can be consulted in the reading room of the Special Collections, and a handbook with selected literature on the holdings is available to readers in the open access area of the reading room. Scientific information on the holdings, requests for digitization, and appropriate permissions for publication should be directed to the Head of Special Collections.
