Research Services
We provide high-quality, international longitudinal data for academic researchers on demographic change, employment, and health. Our data are collected personally and subject to strict quality management, ranging from high sampling standards to 100% follow-up of all surveys conducted in two-year intervals.
Methods & Expertise for Research Infrastructure
SHARE is Europe's largest social science panel study and has set new standards in research and scientific data collection. It has a global impact, not only because it covers all EU member states in a strictly harmonized manner, but also because it is embedded in a network of sister studies around the world, from the Americas to East Asia. SHARE aims to collect high-quality data for the scientific-empirical investigation of demographic change and the quality of life of the affected populations and to make it available to the scientific research community free of charge. This will enable the social and political adjustment processes caused by demographic change to be better managed with a view to maximizing the quality of life of the affected population, not least in order to maintain the high level of economic development in Austria and Europe despite the challenges posed by an aging society.
