Short Description
The accent makerspace for green transformation was established by accent, the business incubator of the state of Lower Austria, in collaboration with its start-ups in an old, revitalised agricultural school building. accent's support services and the infrastructure of existing equipment, tools, arable land, meadows and greenhouses form a place for focused prototyping and experimental development of innovators, primarily start-ups, academic spin-offs and those interested in founding a company.
The makerspace offers 5 hectares including 3 hectares of experimental fields, several rooms for laboratory analysis, a 200 m² greenhouse with temperature regulation (e.g. to simulate droughts), a metal workshop and demonstration hall, co-working and meeting options, storage areas as well machines for immediate and direct use in the development of sustainable, innovative products.
Thematically, the accent makerspace covers prototyping and small series production in the areas of agricultural technology, new materials, green chemistry, bioeconomy, food safety and green transformation.
