Short Description

The spirit collection at NHM Vienna, Department of Botany contains about 2000 samples of higher plants (ferns and seed plants) from all around the world preserved in ethanol. Especially well represented are the families Annonanceae, Ebenaceae and Lamiaceae. Further an important set of samples from the Juan-Fernandez-Islands is preserved.
