Short Description
LKR is certified to perform accredited load controlled fatigue testing according to DIN 50100 for measuring high cycle and long life fatigue strength (HCF & LLF). The 100 kN resonant testing machine used is able to measure a range of materials (steel, aluminium,…) and sample geometries at room and elevated temperatures.
Samples are subjected to fatigue tests at resonance frequency to simulate material behavior and failure in real life application. The testing of standard samples, parts or special geometries is possible. The high testing frequency (e.g. 80 Hz) allows tests with up to 107 load cycles (commonly used for aluminium) to be carried out fast and efficiently.
